Could you please work on allowing users to publish annotation feature class to ArcGIS online?

Halfway through 2024, any update on adding annotation to ArcGIS Online?

I'm using a fairly complicated anno to points conversion script to get around this issue. The complexity is in getting a label rotation field added and the placement centered exactly where the anno was. Would love to see anno just be publishable. I've never really understood the breakneck speed ESRI develops at without ever ensuring that all its own data types are supported. There's not a competitor in the world that is nipping at ESRI's heels. They have the market cornered. Take your time and get it done right, ESRI.

Didn't receive an error for this when trying to publish my map until I tried by annotation layer by itself. Immensely surprised this isn't offered.

Sure it is possible, for 6 years now I have been hearing it is available in Enterprise. If it is not possible it would not be available in portal. I would like to hear from Esri why is this being held away from us AGO users?

@Miralem_Zeljo When I posted that it must not be possible I forgot my sarcastic emoji!

Nice one Bill! I hope we get some movement on this. Years ago this was promised in one of the conferences. I cannot believe more people are not voting on this.

Would also like to know if/when this is coming. I want to retire my standalone Server and just do AGOL, but this is holding me back.

I've been getting away with using ArcGIS Assistant to copy the MIL from Enterprise to AGOL. Hope this helps someone.

Looking through the old posts, I'm surprised this still isn't available.  I need to publish a system-wide annotation layer for our mapping system and this would benefit me greatly.  Are there any workarounds?
