Idea:
Now that ArcGIS Online has a new metadata editor and includes a "metadata completeness score" for each item, it would be really helpful if those scores could be included in admin reports.
Why this would be useful:
As an admin, it’s not easy to get an overview of metadata quality across all items in the organization. Right now, you have to click into each item one by one to see how complete the metadata is. Being able to see these scores in a report would make it much easier to track progress, find gaps, and encourage better documentation.
What I’m suggesting:
When generating an administrative report, add a column that shows the metadata completeness score for each item.
Why this matters:
This would make it much easier to monitor metadata quality, especially in larger organizations. It could also support internal QA, compliance checks, and Open Data efforts by making it more obvious which items still need attention.
Example use case:
Before launching a public Hub site or sharing content with partners, I want to make sure all our layers have solid metadata. A report that shows me which items are missing titles, tags, or descriptions would save a lot of time.
