I am suggesting the ability to reference field data from a layer or layers to generate tags when a feature service or view is created. The user would be able to choose the field or fields and any unique data in those fields would be added as tags. It would be great if this would occur after the service has been created, i.e., if someone adds a new unique data to the referenced field, the tag would automatically be generated for the service.
Combined with this idea: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-online-ideas/automatically-apply-group-tags-to-items-in-the/idi... users would not have to go through the repetitive process of adding the same tags to associated layers, maps, apps, etc.
Our organization has structured databases for sites that may contain data for multiple phases or projects. Each phase/project has a unique ID and name, and tags are updated with this information manually right now. It would be much simpler to have the tags generated from the feature data we're adding to our services.
