Currently when a user is attempting to invite an external member of the group they often open a support case because they cannot find the user they are trying to add.
When they go to the Invite members page for their group, the setting for "Search all ArcGIS Online organization members" is defaulted to disabled or off. This means they are only searching their organizations members, and won't be able to find the external user for which they are looking. Most users are able to figure this out, and enable or turn on this setting.
Once they have turned on "Search all ArcGIS Online organization members", they then attempt to search for the external user and are still unable to find them most of the time. This is because of the setting for "Collaboration coordinators only", which is on by default, and only appears after enabling the prior settings.
Typically the external users our people are searching for do not have that role in their organization, so they are not being be found.
Most of our people do not understand what this setting is, so they do not know they need to turn it off. As result we get a lot of support requests about not being able to add external people to a group.
We would like to have a way to set the default state for "Collaboration coordinators only" to disabled. It is by far the most common use case for our users to want to have this off.
