Better Clarity For Feature Storage Dashboard Credit Report
The ArcGIS Online Organization Dashboard contains a Feature Storage Report. This report can only be accessed by clicking multiple times on Feature Storage. The page indicates that the report is about Feature Storage in three places. Our organization has a lot of GIS experience. We consulted with our ESRI account reps about this. All indications were that this report was about Feature Storage. This report is not about feature storage. It contains data about any type of storage without any differentiation of type which is very important since Feature Storage and File Storage are billed at radically different rates.
Ultimately, we spent months pursuing the wrong people and layers to reduce our Credit usage and burned a lot of Credits unnecessarily because we trusted that a table labeled Feature Storage Report was actually about Feature Storage.
The report on this page needs to be clarified to reflect what it is actually about. The Reports page is able to generate a report where storage is clearly split into clearly labeled columns by type. If we were looking at a report like that, we wouldn't have dealt with all this confusion.
