What do you do when a member of your org changes name? In our case, it is a tedious process of going through the ringer of transferring ownership of items, data, and training to their new account because we are unable to update their idpUsername which changed due to a recent marriage and/or divorce.

Can we expose the capability to update the idpUsername like we have for the rest of the user account (https://developers.arcgis.com/python/api-reference/arcgis.gis.toc.html#arcgis.gis.User:~:text=or%20f...)?

Thank you!

This a great idea! We have to go through the same process when one of our employee's get's a name change.

Create a new account, match up group membership, transfer ownership of all the content. (more complicated if they used folders to organize their content) and then contact any owners of external groups they are a part of because we can't update those groups.

And it's worth a mention that once their AD account changes and the SSO starts to recognize them with their new name they are basically locked out of their previous account.

Don't forget to update all the entitlements, add-on's, extensions, applications and ESRI learning transcript and My-ESRI organization connected account.

@MAllen, couldn't agree more with that sentiment. I was hoping that the various systems all came from a the same root, but you are right...we want the ability to update in one place so it corrects in all places.
