In ArcGIS Online, users can organize their own content using folders under “My Content”. However, when accessing content shared by other members, the folder structure is not visible — all shared items appear in a single flat list.
This becomes difficult to manage in organizations with many shared maps, apps, dashboards, layers, and other resources. Even within groups, items are displayed without folder organization, making content discovery less efficient.
A valuable enhancement would be to allow users to view the original folder structure of shared content from other members, while respecting existing sharing permissions.
Some possible improvements:
- Allow visualization of shared folders from other users;
- Enable optional folder organization within groups;
- Improve navigation and discoverability of shared items in collaborative environments.
This would significantly improve content management.
