Layers not loading in Illustrator

Hello, I am working on an AIX file in Illustrator and some of the layers are not loading. They show in the layer panel (I'm assuming) as empty clip groups. I know I've had this issue before, but cannot recall how I remedied that.

I've also tested exporting a layout as an AIX file, and that loaded the visible layers correctly, but obviously defeats part of the purpose of exporting the map instead with the layers organized.

I'm using Illustrator v 28.1 and 27.9.1, ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud v 3.6.0, and ArcGIS Pro v 3.2.1

Hello @nrober_gwsc . Could you share both AIX files(map and layout)? Please share the ArcGIS Pro package for the team to reproduce and investigate the issue if possible.
