This has probably been mentioned, but adding the ability to export to geospatial formats would be great. GeoTIFF or geospatial PDF for the entire map, and individual layers to shapefile would be my top suggestions.

Status changed to: Under Consideration

Hi @PaulFyfield

Happy New Year! Thanks for sharing this idea. We are already looking into some of these. Since this idea includes 3 different requests I am updating it to 'under consideration' instead of 'in product plan'.

Any chance you can add an example about your use of GeoTIFF? Are you looking to leverage this from Illustrator or Photoshop or both workflows? Any additional clarifications will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks Madhura. A GeoTIFF would be helpful when a digital version of the entire map needs to be brought back into ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro, to check the map versus data (to edit either the data or identify edits needed on the map). Also, some of our maps, built in Illustrator, are used as basemaps in the BLM's S1 Mobile Mapper app, which use GeoTIFFs (as opposed to our Avenza Maps app users, who need geospatial PDFs). We have field personnel who use both apps, for fire and other field work.

I create recreational (hiking, camping) maps for our local area (Black Mountains of Western North Carolina) and have begun making them available on Avenza Maps...I save a blank Geo-referenced pdf from ArcGIS Pro and then copy over layers from my Adobe Illustrator maps (which was built saving individual layers from ArcGIS Pro) to create a  Geo-referenced map that I can then upload to Avenza.  I have a Geo-referenced map when using ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud, but loose the Geo-reference once I sync...I would love the ability to sync to create a Geo-referenced .aix or pdf...this would allow me to create everything I need using just Adobe Illustrator with a truly capable ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud!  Thanks

ArcGIS Maps for Adobe v3.5 supports creating a georeferenced PDF from Illustrator after you import an AIX file from ArcGIS Pro or sync a map directly from the extension. This feature is currently released in Beta. Please try it out. The team is looking forward to the feedback on how this function meets your design workflow and what needs to be improved in a future release. Please find more details at https://doc.arcgis.com/en/maps-for-adobecc/latest/install/using-aix-files.htm.
