Provide an extention that would allow direct functionality with Adobe photoshop *.psd files.  Photoshop Elements is the lite version of the very sophisticated and expensive Photoshop software usually used for photo editing.  It is however useful as a cartographic tool for enhancing, layering, selecting, and manipulating imagery as well.  Though only a rastor based program, it is very good at presenting and manipulating visual layers.  Incorporating this quality (particularly the layer properties functions) into ArcMap would be extremely useful.  An agreement with Adobe to allow seemless use and goeprocessing of *.psd files would be even better.

The latest Maps for Adobe app allows users to create maps in Illustrator and Photoshop. It also supports importing maps from ArcGIS Pro into Illustrator via AIX export files. Please check out our YouTube channel for tutorials.
