I am a beginner in Nautical cartography and I would like a link for a tutorial or a document that can help me create nauticaL charts and features using ArcMap

Hello @gha_bby ,

Online tutorials are not available at this time. If you simply want to visualize the ENC data as a paper chart, then I recommend you:

  • Create a file geodatabase
  • Import the workspace XML, NAUTICAL_CHART_TEMPLATE_GX.XML, located at Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\MaritimeCharting\Desktop10.8\Charting\Schemas\Workspace
  • Import the ENC cell using the Import S-57 to Geodatabase geoprocessing tool
  • Use the Chart Automation geoprocessing tool in the Nautical Cartography tool box to create the paper chart

If you are looking for paper chart production documentation, then we have several guidebooks. They are located at: https://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/latest/extensions/maritime-charting/what-is-the-arcgis-for-mari...

Hello @GabrielAweya , looks like you are not using the right workspace XML. I posted the configuration steps for you in this topic: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-mapping-and-charting-questions/set-up-arcmap-for-nautical-paper...

Hope it helps.

Are you able to use ArcGIS Pro? ArcGIS Pro does not require a Product Library so the setup is simplified. If you have ArcMap, you should also have access to ArcGIS Pro.

My license doesn’t support ArcPro so I’m currently working with Arcmap.
