I mistakenly attempted to upload a feature layer to arcgis online which exceeded my free tier storage limit. The advice is to remove your hosted services until you are below threshold again. However, whenever I click on the feature layer in arcgis online, it says I dont have access to this resource. Sharing is set to owner. When I follow the link its says I need a token. I just want to delete the layer in its entirety.

To delete the layer exceeding your storage limit:

  1. Check Ownership and Permissions: Ensure you're logged in with the correct account and have administrative privileges.

  2. Disable Delete Protection: In the item's Settings tab, make sure Delete Protection is unchecked, and delete the layer directly from this tab.

  3. Alternative Deletion Method: You can also delete the item from the Content page by selecting the item’s checkbox and clicking Delete at the top.

  4. Change Ownership (if needed): As a workaround, transfer ownership to another admin user in your organization who can then delete it.

If you still have issues, please let us know.
