Scalebar

How can I change the units for the scalebar? The default seems to be miles.

The value is not read from the Portal global settings or my profile settings.

Which instant app are you using? There is an option to choose dual as the units for the Scalebar in most apps. We are working on a configuration option that allows you to define units for use in the app but it is not yet available.

I am using the Insets Instant app. There is only an option to turn the scalebar on or off. I can't find Dual units anywhere

Hi @GrahamHumphries1, when you are viewing your app, is the name of your organization in the url? 

If the app is being accessed outside of your org's ArcGIS Online url (e.g a shared public link), the units may be falling back to the browser's language/region settings. 

While it is not possible to change the units directly in your instant app, I recommend that if you are the one configuring the app, that during the configuration process, you disable Express mode, enter full set up mode, and toggle Dual Unit. This will show both metric and imperial units.
