I don't know if this is by design, but we use the Public Notification Instant App for gathering account information - so there's water and sewer address point locations - and they are found by address search. However, for our general users, they just want to use the map address search without creating a list first. Is there a way of doing this? The map that it's using has the search enabled and you can search in the map viewer using the web map content item - just not when it's in this app.
If it was created in this manner to have location search restricted to only using the 'create list' widget - can the general map search be enabled? Or am I glossing something over?
Thanks!

Hi Aaron,
As of now, the only search functionality is within the create list workflow. However, I will log something on our end to see if we can add this functionality to the map as well. I believe this is something we can easily do, the only caveat will be that both for the map search and list search, the search sources will need to be the same.
If you'd like to log an enhancement with Support to track this issue and its development please do and I can link it to the one I create.
Thanks!

That's great! I appreciate the follow-up. Wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong with my web map and glossing something over. I do like this attribute list app as it's really useful for sending out notifications to the public. It required me to join the accounts table to our address SDE and create a feature service in AGOL. It was a tricky bit of work for me and the address search is pretty important outside of that widget for general area search.
