Allow map customization on public notification app

I'd like to see more options (or more explanation) on how to customize the web map when exporting a PDF in the public notification app. Right now it's not clear how the map is derived, which results in several trial and errors to see how it'll work. Maybe a map preview or something so the user can see what the map will look like before exporting the PDF.

Are you referring to the map that you export to pdf? If you are referring to the map included with the export you can zoom, pan etc to move the map focus where you want it to be before you click the Export button.
