When creating cards, we have to create new items of a similar size by using a visual reference eg; a grid canvas, or, like ExpB, you can set size and padding params when creating a widget. Maybe even a simple duplicate card option too?
Have you had a chance to take a look at the report designer feature in the 2023.1 release? It addresses a few of your comments and we look forward to improving it in subsequent releases.
