Hub Premium external event listing: default Organizer contact cannot be removed

We have a community events calendar that incudes both internal and external events.

For the external events, we only want to list the contact information for the event organizer. However, after saving the contact information without the defaul Hub Organizer, if I refresh the event page, my Hub manager's name reappears (under the saved external contact's information).

Even more important, when I look at the posted event, the only organizer contact that shows up is the Hub manager's name—the saved external contact (the only one I want, and the one that supposedly was confirmed as a save) doesn't show up at all.

How do we disable the default setting that is forcing events to be listed with the Hub Organizer/manager's name among the event organizers?
