Hub filtered data export not working?

Hello All,

Recently created a hub for my organization with the intention of letting those with viewer licenses download data. 

When I try to download data (using a viewer license) it does not let me download to the filtered drawing area. It will either export the the whole dataset or nothing at all. It sometimes works when I try to download a CSV but not a KML. Shapefile export option results in no data at all. 

I can filter using attributes and export filtered features but not using a filtered drawing area.

My goal is to allow people to export  filtered CSV or KML data from a drawing area using a viewer license.

Here are some troubleshooting steps I can think of:
  • The “Filter by Drawing” tool in Hub is intended for visualization purposes only and does not support exporting data.
  • Check if “Export Data” is enabled in your feature service’s item settings.
  • Verify that the option “Allow others to export to different formats” is checked in your feature service settings.
  • Create filtered views directly within the web map, if needed.
  • In your Hub site editor, review the download configuration and ensure that export formats like CSV, KML, and Shapefile are enabled.
