Hello, I am using geostatistical analyst and I want to use the predicted values. So I want to copy these values somehow. I tried to to use the tool 'GA Layer to Points'. The tool create a new attribute table with the measured values and the predicted. But the predicted values were not the same as it was in the geostatistical analyst in step 5. Do you have any idea how can I copy the predicted values from the tool geostatistical analyst in the 5th step of the method?
Thank you very much
Don't use the validation option in GA Layer To Points. See second usage tip.
Is there another way to do it?
Please tell us why GA Layer To Points is not suitable.
Thanks
-Steve
Because the predicted values from the 'GA Layer To Points' are not the same with the predicted values from the 5th step of geostatistical analyst. I want to take these values for for making some extra calculations.
Thanks you very much for your help
Maybe you misunderstood me.
To get the same prediction values as in the Wizard use the GA Layer To Points tool and leave the "Field to validate on" blank (i.e empty).
I did this and the result was this:
the result in wizard was this:
the value in red circle is 794.48 and in the wizard is 834.54. It is not the same. Why?
Those are not really prediction values.
In cross validation - Removes one data location and predicts the associated data using the data at the rest of the locations. The primary use for this tool is to compare the predicted value to the observed value in order to obtain useful information about some of your model parameters.
To get those values you need to run the Cross Validation tool.
Ο thank you very much my friend. This is what I was looking for.Thank you again!!!!
You're welcome.
