I have a couple of users in the field right now collecting point data on two Getac PS236 handhelds, using a bog-standard ArcGIS Mobile deployment. There's maybe seven or eight different fields being collected, half of which are mandatory.

Anyhow, they are experiencing irregular problems when collecting points, the error message being given is shown in the attached JPEG. Apparently if they select 'yes' and recollect the data, it will give them the same error when they try and save it, and the only way to get around the problem is to say 'no', discard the entire feature, and start over again.

I've had a look through the forums to see if this was a commonly-occurring error, but no luck - just wondering if anyone has insights into what might be causing it.

We've been using Mobile 10 on 5 Trimble Juno SC units for a couple of years now, and I sporadically get that error message.  The only logic I've been able to figure out is that the application only throws that error when I'm collecting a point without GPS.  I usually only see this when collecting a test point in my office by manually placing a point on the map, as opposed to collecting it with GPS. Once it shows up on a unit, it's persistent until I walk outside and collect a point using the GPS.  I've tried shutting down Mobile, rebooting the Trimble, downloading a fresh copy of the Mobile project, etc. - nothing but a GPS signal seems to rectify it.  This probably doesn't help you, but I just wanted to share how it's baffled me as well 🙂
