Mobile 10 and Visual Studio

Hi there.  I am upgrading to V10 and am wondering about ArcGIS mobile's ability to work with Visual Studio 2005.  The requirements state 2008 is required.  Does anyone know if 2005 is useable?

The requirement, if I understood it correctly, is not a specific version of Visual Studio but a specific version of .NET

I don't know if you can use Visual Studio 2005 to develop against .NET 3.5 or not since I haven't tried.

From what I understand the tools that are installed to VS2008 during Arcmobile install eg extension and task will not install.
