I’m having a problem with an ArcGIS (10.2) for Windows OS Mobile Application… I have an ESRI extension called “Auto Populate Attribute Extension”. Essentially, when you add a point feature on top of a parcel, it should take a value from a field in the parcel layer and automatically populate a field in the point feature layer. It works fine when my geodatabase is projected in NAD83/State Plane and it works fine when my geodatabase is in Web Mercator Aux Sphere but it doesn't work at all when the geodatabase is WGS_1984. Of course I would prefer to use NAD83 for my state but one of my basemaps is “Streetmaps for Windows Mobile” and that only seems to plays nice with WGS_1984 in Mobile Project Center.
I have looked at the extension in Visual Studio (I’m not a developer) and it seems to me that the problem is somewhere getting the geometry of the point or the parcel. Without posting the entire Visual Studio project, does anyone know theoretically why it would be having a problem in WGS84?
