I am working with Arc 10.1 in a disconnected environment so I am forced to use the "Create Mobile Cache" tool to transfer operational layers to my Mobile Project Centre.
I have an MXD set up with multiple layers that have scale ranges (and multiple label scale ranges) set. All the labels show up exactly as in the MXD except for two polygon layers. These two layers have the simplest labelling (labels visible at scales the layer is visible). As the user zooms in previous layer labels disappear and new ones (associated with newly visible layers) appear, so this doesn't seem to be a conflicting labels problem.
Even if I create a mobile cache with just the two strange layers and one other labelled layer the wonky two still won't show their labels. Though the one that previously behaved correctly continues to do so.
Neither of these layers has a subtype and I am labelling straight out of a field (no funny business), Arial font, using the Maplex engine (again with no funny stuff other than remove duplicates).
Am I missing something here? Any suggestions to fix this are greatly appreciated.
