Hi All,
I have a small data collection app configured and I want to use the Logging Layer type to track and keep locations where crews have traveled so no covers the same area twice.
I created a point feature class in SDE 10.1 with a Text field (50) for the Machine Name, a Date field for the Machine Date and Time, as well as a GlobalID. The extents have been set on the MXD used to publish as a Mobile Service, Map Service and Feature Service. The Mobile Project is configured to use the Service as am operational layer with the layer type set to "Logs all positions of the user" and the attributes configured as mentioned earlier. I have tried logging by both Time and Distance, but I can' get the GPS data to show in this layer. The GPS is working properly, as I can track the map and collect features in a different feature class.
Am I missing something in the configuration? I have also assumed that I will get the data uploaded into SDE when I sync, and then downloaded downloaded to all crews on sync.
