I was wanting to use the Print Task Class to export a map as an image and store it in SharePoint. This export feature seemed preferable to creating my own logic using writeable bitmaps or canvas manipulations. This class appears to be only available in v3.0 and higher for the Silverlight API. The SharePoint web part is based on V2.4
Are there plans to support the newer API in the Sharepoint Web Part or does it now. Some of the web resources I found hint at that but it is not clear.
