Hi Hau,

> I has share data from excel to portal for arcgis. After, i update a share layer successfully but it not update on portal for arcgis.

Can you please provide more context:

- What release of ArcGIS Enterprise are you using?

- What release of ArcGIS Maps for Office are you using?

- What release of MS Excel are you using?

- Were any changes applied to ArcGIS Enterprise in the time period from when you first shared a data layer to the enterprise portal to when you tried to update the feature layer? For example, upgrading portal?

Dear Derek Law,

I using ArcGIS Enterprise 10.7.1, ArcGIS Maps for office 2020.1.2, MS Excel 365.

i don't have upgrade Portal for ArcGIS, but i just update ArcGIS Maps for office 2020.1.1 to 2020.1.2 for portal enterprise and in MS Excel.

Hi Hau,

Thanks for the info. We haven't heard of any issues with sharing updates from ArcGIS Maps for Office to an enterprise 10.7.1 portal. To confirm: you only added new records to the spreadsheet, then attempted to publish updates to the hosted feature layer, correct? You didn't make any schema updates, like add new fields - can you please confirm?

Dear Derek Law,

Thanks for your support.

I only edit data to the spreadsheet and didn't make any schema update.

Everything is still updated normally until I changed the setting to "Update properties only", the update fails.

after that, I changed back to the settings "Add, update, and delete features" but still can't update.

I don't know why.

Hi Hau,

Thanks for the additional info. To be clear,

> I only edit data to the spreadsheet and didn't make any schema update. ... Everything is still updated normally

Does this mean that you were able to publish updates from ArcGIS Maps for Office to the hosted feature layer, but then you modified the feature layer properties,

> ... until I changed the setting to "Update properties only", the update fails.

And now you're unable to update the feature layer anymore after you made this change? Please contact Esri Tech Support so they can help you investigate further. I'm unsure what the expected behavior is when this feature layer property is modified.

Hope this helps,
