Hi Esri Community,

I saw that there was a post regarding this last year, but haven't seen any updates. I was wondering if there have been any updates for ArcGIS Flight support regrading the DJI Matrice 4T.

The company I work for is using the M4T for thermal drone surveys focused on wildlife habitat monitoring. The M4T's thermal camera is great for environmental fieldwork, and we are looking to build a fully integrated Esri workflow from mission planning through to spatial analysis in ArcGIS Pro.

I'm aware that the recent ArcGIS Flight update added support for the Matrice 4 Enterprise (M4E), which is a great step forward. However, the M4T is a distinct variant with a different sensor suite, and we have not been able to confirm full compatibility for flight planning and mission control via ArcGIS Flight.

Currently our workaround is to fly using DJI Pilot 2 and bring georeferenced imagery into Drone2Map for processing — which works, but does not give us the seamless end-to-end ArcGIS workflow we're looking for.

Would love to hear if others are using the M4T and running into similar limitations, and whether Esri has plans to extend M4 series support to the thermal variant.

Thanks!

I'm in the same boat. I have to commit to a platform for UAV imagery. I'd prefer to use the Esri product but it needs to support the aircraft we fly. No android support is also a big bummer, but  read elsewhere that's because the development and approval cost of software that flys drones is high (as it should be).
