Unable to update vertices to linear/polygon features with GPS receiver

We are running Field Maps 25.3.1 on an iPhone. 

We are unable to update a vertex on a linear/polygon feature with GPS to update it's location.  When we have a vertex selected and select "Update Selected Point", it does not update the point with the GPS.  It adds a vertex between the two vertices instead.  We can manually updated a vertex location. I believe this happened with the newest version as it previously worked on older versions.

For example, in image below, I tried to update the north point to a new location with the GPS.  Instead, a vertex was added at my GPS location. 

Any help would be appreciated.
