Significant lag with Tasks enabled - due to Task list refresh and notifications?

Hi,

Is anyone else seeing lag / freezing with Tasks enabled?

We see it when loading the map when the task-list first appears, and then when it seems the Task-list refreshes / sends a notification. Will be panning the map and it just becomes unusable for a minute or longer.

Layer has about 7000 features. Arcade driven symbology.

Map without Tasks works fine.

We saw it initially and it looked like having arcade in the pop-up title slowed things down significantly. It was evident when scrolling the Task-List.

Not clear to me if it's because the users are viewing all 7000 features (some need to) or that it's the default top-tier and controlling the notifications. Messing around with this doesn't seem to resolve it. Also tried reducing layer refresh rate. But a few thousand features isn't massive - the app seems to have no issue displaying them in the map itself without Tasks enabled.

Any guidance would be much appreciated. Cheers, Chris

Testing the layer refresh rate and all 7000 Tasks visible:

  • 0.1 minute refresh = renders the map unusable due to freezing
  • 30 minute refresh = new jobs no longer appearing to field staff

Seems like the task list loading on map + layer refresh is freezing the map...

Is there a way to prompt a manual refresh in the map? Not entirely across the layer refresh behaviour but this may be a compromise.
