Preserve Form Customisations If Overwriting A Hosted Feature Class

Hi,

I am using Portal 11.3 and have a couple of feature classes with lots of fields and customised visibility and calculated fields. It is still in development and in an ideal world I would have the final schema in my feature class before publishing. However, I get asked to add additional fields sometimes with domains and when I overwrite the service I lose my customisations.

I use AGOL assistant to backup my json and try and re-apply but if the schema and domain values have changed it does not always work.

If I need to make schema changes what is the best way to keep my local geodatabase feature class in sync with my feature class without losing customisations?

Thanks in advance

You should be able to add fields and edit domains in the data tab of the hosted feature layer in Portal. If I'm understanding you correctly, you are currently maintaining two copies of the data: a hosted feature layer and a local geodatabase. Do you have a reason for this? I would recommend maintaining the hosted feature layer only and exporting the data to a GDB as needed.
