How do I remove personal markup layer after the setting has been disabled?

I have turned off the personal markup layer option in Field Map settings but the layer is still showing up in the Field Maps app at the top of the layer list. Is there a way to remove it from the app on the mobile device? It does not show up in the layer list in design mode or on the regular map in Map Viewer. The option to use it has now disappeared from the "..." overflow list.

EDIT: I have submitted a case to Esri and will post updates as they come.

I'm also experiencing this on both iOS and Android. After confirming the change stuck after saving, I deleted/reinstalled Field Maps app, signed back in, refreshed map, but it's still there. 

Have either of you opened a tech support ticket to get this officially logged as a bug? @HannahBee @adanpineda

Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to jump on this forum to let y'all know that an enhancement has been logged on this issue to remove the Personal Markup Layer from Field Map's layer list when the Personal Markup feature has been disabled within Field Map Designer.

Enhancements are considered by our development team, and they need user traction and visibility to make their way to becoming an implemented feature.

If anyone on this forum ever has an Esri Support ticket on this issue, please ask the analyst you are working with to attach your case to the following enhancement (ENH-000186790) to increase its visibility further.

Thanks for asking! I logged this issue as an enhancement for two main reasons:

1. I was able to test, and reproduce, this behavior on an older version of field maps. So, I don't believe it would be a regression or update related bug.
2. Our documentation on using Personal Markup doesn't state that the layer will be removed from the layer list if the functionality is disabled. Therefore, this request represents a new functionality / improved behavior for the application rather than a documented workflow we support.

So, while I agree that this should be a feature, I believe adding it would be better categorized under an enhancement. Doing this makes sure it reaches the correct teams and is properly addressed.
