Hi, Please help! I'm stuck. I am getting the Client Certificate Requested message on a bunch of layers soon after opening Field Maps.
I am using the Field Maps App on Android to access my created maps. I am just a single user kind of testing things in the field. I am not an Enterprise user - I have an individual GIS Professional Advanced subscription.
My issue is similar to this post https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-field-maps-questions/quot-client-certificate-requested-quot-err... however it doesn't seem to exactly apply as I'm not sure I have a portal as a non-Enterprise user? Maybe I'm missing something in the instructions supplied?
Do I need to download the security certificate from somewhere?
Any and all help is greatly appreciated. I can't currently use my map 😞
I've gone to this.. (I don't know if I have a 'portal' because I'm not using Enterprise?)
and I've followed the instructions in the referenced thread to get and install the CA, but no luck. Any thoughts?
You are signed into ArcGIS Online. It's the ESRI hosted 'portal' provided as SaaS.
You are accessing a third-party service in your map:
https://fwspublicservices.wim.usgs.gov/wetlandsmapservice/rest/services/Wetlands_Status/MapServer
If your device is having an issue with that service and you believe that you need to install the certificate for that service on your device, you need to install the certificate from the third-party website not ArcGIS Online:
I appreciate the info. Do I go to this site and view the cert?
and then do I download this one? or the chain? Sorry - I just have no idea. I've downloaded a bunch of these and nothing seems to work.
In the end, I'm trying to make Field Maps on an Android phone be able to access this layer successfully by being able to obtain the requested Client Certification.
