Wondering why ArcGIS Explorer 2500 does NOT support Mosaic Dataset 10.1?

It looks that ArcGIS Explorer 2500 does NOT directly support Mosaic Dataset 10.1 (Only support as LAYER).

Do we have any other option to directly access MD inside AE2500?
