Web Mercator datum problem?

ArcGIS Explorer shows the underlying datum for WGS_1984_Web_Mercator_Auxiliary_Sphere to be GCS_WGS_1984 and the underlying datum for WGS_1984_Web_Mercator to be GCS_WGS_1984_Major_Auxiliary_Sphere. Aren't these reversed?
