Raster difference, Looking for ideas

Hi I'm working on a school project and I'm looking for ideas on how to make/utilize and represent meaningful data from the comparison of two different elevation models using ArcMap.

The two elevation were created using ERDAS LPS, and represent the exact same area, but the data was captured with different image sensors, one being larger than the other.   This difference translates to one of the elevation model has a higher and more accurate resolution than the other.

I'm looking for ideas on how to process these two datasets against one another in ArcMap to show a calculable difference/result in a meaningful way.

Any thoughts??

Thanks, JD

Hi Jason,

Could you use the Raster Calculator to subtract DEM_1 from DEM_2? You would need the Spatial Analyst extension for this. You could also use the Minus Tool if you have Spatial Analyst or 3D Analyst (and this might be more straight forward).
