I wanted to know if it was possible to customize ArcGIS Explorer Desktop (via Add-in) so that it would allow a user to click on a parcel(s), retrieve the parcel id(s)# from AE & then submit that id(s)# (in the whereclause of a query or as a parameter of a stored procedure, for example) to an RDBMS via ADO.NET (or by any other means)? If it is possible, than I would certainly like to field comments as to whether or not it is advisable as well.
