Note properties show incorrect co-ordinates

Hi,

One of our users has identified an issue with the point note properties in ArcGIS Explorer.  Essentially they enter a point from coordiantes in the Degree Minute DecSecs format.  The point appears in the correct location on the map but when they go to the note properties the displayed latitude value has increased by one second e.g. input 34°06'22.72"N, point marker is at 34°06'22.72"N but latitude value in note properties is displayed as 34°06'23.72"N.  I cannot find any reference to this on the forums.  Is this simplay a bug?  Any fix available.  It's somewhat confusing for many of our users, particularly when sharing locations with other users
Thanks

Simon, I see a little different behavior. In properties it rounds the second part. I.e. 34°06'22.72"N, becomes 34°06'23"N

Andriy,  Thanks for the quick response.  In order to see the issue you need to set the coordinate display on the Display tab to Degrees Minutes DecSeconds rather than the default Degrees Minutes Seconds which gives correct rounding behaviour as you are seeing.

What seems to be occurring with my issue is that the whole number value for seconds is getting correctly rounded but the decimal values are being left visible.  Doing some further digging this is definitely the issue as if the coordinate is set to a decimal value less than .5 e.g. 22.42 then it displays as 22.42 but set to 22.72 it displays as 23.72.

Simon,
Andriy and I have been working on a fix, it goes in today and will be available in our next release. Thanks for reporting the issue.

Hi Edan,

Thanks for looking into this so quickly.  Is there a fixed timetable for the next release - our users are asking for more information?

I have also noted some related issues if working in other coordinate systems.

Example:
I set the display coordinate system to be NAD83 State Plane Texas South Feet
I set the display units to be feet/miles
I add a new point to the map
When I go to the note properties I see the coordinates in feet in the dialog
If I try and change these coordinates manually I get the message "Outside coordinate system bounds" and the point disappears from the map

Thanks

Andriy,

I have just downloaded the latest build and there are still issues remaining with these coordinates.  The original issue has been solved but the same issue is present in the display position information (see attached document)

The attachment shows the location with the correct coordinates in the note properties but the incorrect coordinates in the lower left.  If you scroll around you'll see the displayed coordinates "jump" whenever you get to 0.5 seconds i.e. moving north it jumps from 21.49 to 22.50

I have verified by importing a shapefile that the points are in the correct position but the display information remains an issue
Thanks
