I've seen some hinting as to the next release of Explorer Desktop by the end of 2013. Will ESRI be changing the video requirements of this software to be more in line with other programs like google earth so the program actually runs on computers? So changing from OpenGL to DirectX rendering? To this day I laugh at how many computers run google earth just fine but have nothing but issues with Explorer desktop. If the video rendering was changed and the software ran on more computers ESRI would have more people using it.
And will that annoying ArcGISOnlineConnection.exe bug be fixed as well?
Any details or news of the next beta for the next version?
