Is it possible to measure in Explorer by using a radius instead of by a line or an area?

A lot of my workflows involve radii rather than straight-line distances....just curious if there is something which would allow me to measure by radius.

Eugene,

Can you provide more information on your workflow - I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "measure by radius".

Sure,....From a single point, it would be great if I could click and drag in any direction, and in real-time, have the distance from that point returned with the radius visually surrounding the point.  So in all directions, I know when I am x miles away, then y miles away, or z miles away.  The buffer tool is propbably the way to go, but I was hoping for a task that quickly returns info like the straight-line distane measure currently does.

Eugene,

Thanks for the clarification - I'll discuss with the Explorer team to see if there's anything in the existing API or new in the 1500 API that would allow someone to write a custom Add-In to do this. Unfortunately all the functionality for the next release is already decided so I don't think it's something we'll be able to include in the application out-of-the-box but I'll check.
