Error Message pops up in Layers property in the Table Of Contents

I am currently running ArcGIS 10.  I just installed it and when I go to the Layers section under Table of Contents and go to properties.  An error message pops up and it says, "frameworkdesktop" with a red X.  Then when I try to close it, the whole ArcMap program crashes.



Has this happened to anyone and anyone know how to fix this?

Are you referring to ArcMap? - if so unfortunately you have posted in the Explorer forum - please try reposting in the ArcGIS Desktop forum: http://forums.arcgis.com/forums/5-ArcGIS-Desktop-General.
