ALERT: Currently, using >Add Content >GIS Services, AGX2500 does not see secure GIS services from ArcGIS for Server 10.1, so one needs to use AGX1750 to connect to a secure 10.1 server with their UN/PW and â??Shareâ?? the connection out as an NMC file. AGS2500 users can then import that NMC file and will get challenged for a UN/PW and will see the secure map service.
However, AGX1750, although it can connect to secure 10.1 services, does not challenge the end-user for a UN/PW when importing an NMC file containing a secure 10.1 service. The server connection appears in the TOC as a broken link.
So, today, our GIS shop needs to maintain a working version of AGX1750 to connect to secure ArcGIS for Server 10.1 services and share service connections as NMC files and we need to install AGX2500 on end-user machines for them to use secure NMC files.
