Hi,

I only have a ArcView license (ArcGIS 9.2) and have downloaded ArcExplorer 9.3.1 (JAVA) --- My question is: Is there any way for me to do address matching/geocoding from my local address locator (the one that I have built in ArcGIS 9.2) in ArcExplorer 9.3.1?

In the old version (ArcExplorer 3.0), address matching (using a locator that was saved on your local machine) was allowed.  I have read various documentations and they all mention about adding the address locator as a feature service which requires ArcIMS --- which we don't have.

Is there any work around solution to this? Perhaps, customizing an address locator in JAVA and then somehow add in to ArcExplorer 9.3.1? If so, which config files to modify?

If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great!

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

This forum is for ArcGIS Explorer rather than ArcExplorer. ArcGIS Explorer can use custom locator services published with ArcGIS Server - for more info see http://webhelp.esri.com/arcgisexplorer/1500/en/firewall.htm#helplocation.
