I have an experience Builder webapp using a number of feature layers published individially from Pro.
I changed the name of one layer in Pro, then I changed the name of the layer in the Map Viewer webmap. This name change was not reflected in Experience.
I then tried to overwrite the feature layer with the new name, and made sure the new name was set in the feature layer item , and the service definition item for good measure. but, the name change was still not reflected in the Experience Builder app.
Do I really have to remove the layer from Map Viewer and add it again to see the name change? This will break all my searches and many filters that are set in Experience Builder. it seems like a lot of work to make one very simple name change.
I have seen this before when I would publish an entire map from Pro as a single service, but I was hoping I would not still see this behavior when I published a single layer as a service.

I could've sworn changing the name in Map Viewer makes the name change in Experience Builder, but maybe there's some nuance there.
In any case, you can change the name in Experience Builder by going to the Data tab, clicking on the data source (in your case, the web map the layer is in), then clicking on the layer. Once you get to the layer details, there'll be an ellipses icon in the upper right. You can rename it there.
