Hi,

I've created an Experience Builder app and it was going great the last few weeks, and then today I am unable to do a basic change in the contents of a text box. No matter what I do, the text ends up reverting to what I originally inputted.

Is this a bug in the system or something, because I've tried everything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Once you finish making your edits, you will need to click outside the Text box for Experience Builder to recognize and accept the change.

Hi Jeffrey,

I am doing that, and as obvious as it may seem, it simply doesn't retain the updated text and reverts back to the original contents in the box. It's weird because I used the text box widget without any issues before.

Can you make any changes or is the problem limited to the Text Widget?

@SaadShahzad, @JeffreyThompson2 I'm having the same problem. I encountered this a couple of weeks ago. I tried starting with a new text box. This GIF is the result. The text reverts back to the default: "Double click to edit text."ExB_Text_Error.gif

When you are done typing have you tried clicking right here? I know it's silly, but I think it will make a difference.

Clicking where you specified did not save the edit either. It seems to only occur when it's a text box within a Card. For other text boxes throughout the Experience, I am able to edit and save those texts.

Thank you for sending some ideas for troubleshooting @JeffreyThompson2!

Yeah, I think I've seen what you are talking about before. I think I had to click outside the Text Widget but inside the Card Widget. That was what I was trying to get you to do.

A more simple option might be dragging your Text Widget outside the Card, fixing the text and then dragging it back in.

same proble here.  Text boxes cannot be edited in a card.
My card is located in a widget controller and this is how I have to edit the text box.

To edit-

1.  Drag the text box out of the card.

2.  Edit the text outside the card.

3.  Move the text to the widget controller, then move it into the card, and resize the card in the text box.

once in the card, the box can no longer be edited.  if edits need to be made, the text box will need to be removed from the card and the steps done all over again.

not the best work around, but it works.  hope this helps someone in a similar situation.

Weird issue. This work around was successful for me. Thanks!
