Survey Widget - Send Data to Survey not working unless feature is directly selected on map

I am currently trying to use the Survey Widget in Experience Builder to add records to a survey. The issue that I am currently running into is with the "Send data to this survey" functionality. Which seems to only work when there is a map widget and the user directly selects the feature within the map and NOT through a list widget.
Here is what I am trying to configure. I would like the global ID from the source layer to populate the parentguid field within the survey. It seems like this only works when there is a map widget and the user selects a feature within that map.
For the application, we need the user to select the feature from the list widget, NOT the map. I tried using actions to make it so that whenever a feature is selected from the list, it also selects that same feature on the map. It does show that the feature is selected on the map, but the parentguid field is NOT populated in the record. Maybe it is not set up correctly or I am running into a weird bug!

The survey widget can work with widgets other than the map since the 23R2 release.
