No search suggestions in the list widget when Sort is enabled?

Currently, when the Search tool is enabled in the List widget, users will see suggestions appear that match records (example below).

However, when Sort is enabled, any suggestions no longer appear.

Is this the expected behavior? If so, can we see improvements on this to allow suggestions even when Sort is enabled? The app I am configuring allows users to search for parks by their names, but would also be helpful to see suggestions when parks are sorted by their significance.
