Hi! I'm trying to get two maps on different pages to start at the same extent in Experience Builder. As much as I'd like to say I can do this "by eye".

It seems like it would also be extremely functional to be able to set the extent or center location by something other than moving the cursor and getting it close enough. I've tried fussing with the initial view settings, but I'm having limited luck getting that to coordinate.

What's the best path forward?

Should I go back to the web maps and set their extents/centers to be the same?

You could add an action to both that will change one based on the extent of the other. That way they'd always be in sync, which is sounds kind like kind of what you're looking for?

That's a neat idea, but not actually what I was thinking. I'm going to try and implement that. Thanks @ZachBodenner

But I'm just talking about the default view. Like opening for the first time, they maps are in a different place. I've even edited the JSON at this point. The experience builder thing is resetting the initial view of its own accord.

Interesting, I would have thought that if the map widget was configured to open at Default, and you edited the JSON of the web maps to have specific default center and extents, then ExB should honor that, as long as you didn't change the map widget to open at a custom view extent.
