Hi everyone

I have an Experience Builder application with an Add Data widget included. The Add Data widget is displaying feature services from a group in my ArcGIS Online subscription. In the Add Data widget, you can hover or click on an "i" / information icon for the item, which displays or takes you to the item overview page for the feature service.

NB - The content in the Add Data widget is shared publicly, they are in a publicly accessible group, and the application and map will be public when ready and so far have been tested publicly for short periods of time.

When I click on that icon, the URL for the item's overview page includes the organisation's name e.g. https://orgname.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=xxxxxxx

I would like the URL to open like this: https://arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=xxxxxxx

I would like to see the arcgis.com URL because in my organisation anonymous access is disabled which means for end users to see the overview page for my public items, they must open over the arcgis.com URL, not my orgname.maps.arcgis.com URL

For some background - I have an equivalent application in Web App Builder and the WAB application can be accessed over both URLs like this:

1. https://www.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=xxxxxxx

OR

2. https://www.orgname.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=xxxxxxx

When you use the Add Data widget in Web App Builder and click on the link to open the item's overview page, the URL that is used matches that of the application. We provide the WAB publicly using the https://www.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=xxxxxxx URL so when end users open the item page of a feature service via Add Data, the URL starts with arcgis.com and they don't need to log in to see it. That all works as we want it to.

I understand in Experience Builder you can't change the URL (unless using Dev Edition) but it seems strange to me that an Exp Builder URL like https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/ still points to https://arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=xxxxxxx  for an item's overview page via Add Data.

A caveat to this - in Experience Builder, if you have layers on the map by default and they are displayed in the Layer List, the "Details" link for each of these layers does point https://arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=xxxxxxx  which is what I would like to see in Add Data!

I know this is can be confusing without seeing it but hoping that someone else might say they have come across the same issue. I am currently talking to Esri UK support about this and it will be raised as a bug/enhancements but would love to know if more people are facing this issue to help with it getting resolved sooner.

If none of the above makes sense, what would be great to see is any links to public facing Experience Builder applications with an Add Data widget included! I can take a look at the behaviour of those. If you also know whether anonymous access is enabled or disabled in the host AGOL subscription that would be great.

Thanks for reading all of this!

Rachel
