Issue with Experience Builders editor widget

I developed an application in Experience Builder that allows a user to add a "Comment Point" feature layer to a map for local QA/QC purposes. Using the editor widget, I specify an existing hosted feature layer with public data collection enabled.  Here is a screenshot of what the editor widget looks like when the application is opened.

However, once a user begins to navigate the map and click on a parcel to view pop-up information for a layer, then a New Feature polygon suddenly appears in the editor widget.  I only want users to edit the point feature, not this polygon feature. Apparently, when you click on the map, the editor widget assumes you want to create a polygon, which is strange. This happens using AGOL's Map Viewer and Experience Viewer.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Just adding an update here for:

A fix for this issue has been found and will be provided in the upcoming update, at the end of February 2024.

@ScottHansen__MDP_ You should see this as resolved today. You may notice a flicker in the Editor where the blue polygon template appears and disappears very quickly. I don't believe it will affect your workflow unless your editors have very very quick fingers! We are aware of this remaining issue, which requires extra backend work, and will polish this for the next update.
