Why is there not an easier methodology for users to export data in experience builder (AGO). I have a simple app with a dozen different toggle filters. I want users to be able to set the filters and export data. Why isn't there just a simple export data widget? Seems I need use an unrelated widget and then rely on users figuring out to click the buttons in the upper right to open the export tool?

It's tucked away in Experience Builder. It is in the Analysis widget under "Spatial Analysis Tool" -> "Manage Data" -> Extract Data.    In ArcGIS Online, it will consume credits.

Hi Nick,

Thanks for the response but this is slightly different than what i am trying to accomplish. The extract tool relies on users having an AGO accounts as that is where it exports to. I would like users to be able to direct download. This is already possible through several widgets but all of them rely on users knowing to select the "3 dots" menu. The easiest user interface i can find so far is adding a "map layers" widget where the only option is the "3 dots"

I think the best solution for this would be a custom widget enabling export to csv/excel for the layers that are currently filtered. Would be pretty straight forward to write, assuming you are using the developer edition.

I only spent like 3 seconds looking for a post in Ideas about this-- has this been formalized as an idea for development?? Would love to get my kudos all over it

I have it currently logged in my organization as an enhancement request. Status says "under consideration" with a low priority.

As a workaround, you could include text instructing users to click the three dots.

Yep, thats the workaround i'm using. Its not exactly aesthetically pleasing as the Layer List font/color can't be changed, so it doesnt match the rest of the page.
